Middlefield Village and the surrounding township sit in eastern Geauga County where the landscape opens up into broad, flat stretches of farmland punctuated by woodlots, hedgerows, and the occasional deep ravine along creek corridors. The area is home to one of the largest Amish communities in the United States, and that shapes the kind of tree work we do here. Many properties rely on wood heat as a primary or supplemental heat source, fence rows of mature timber serve as critical windbreaks for livestock operations, and the pace of land use leans toward agricultural function over suburban aesthetics. When a tree needs to come down in Middlefield, it is usually because it is threatening something practical: a barn, a pasture fence, a buggy lane, or a power line feeding the milk house.

The tree species mix around Middlefield reflects its position on the Allegheny Plateau. The upland woodlots are dominated by red oak, white oak, and sugar maple, with hickory mixed in on the drier ridges and beech dominating the north facing slopes. The flatter agricultural ground tends to have tree rows of Osage orange (hedge apple), black walnut, and black locust, species that were originally planted or tolerated for their fence post and timber value. Black walnut removals near gardens and pastures are a common call in Middlefield because the juglone these trees release through their roots can poison nearby plants and even affect horse health in some cases.

Route 87 runs through the center of Middlefield Village, and the downtown area has a number of mature street trees, mostly Norway and sugar maples, that overhang sidewalks, parking areas, and commercial buildings. These in town trees need a different approach than rural removal work. Wes uses rope and rigging to disassemble trees in sections, controlling every piece so nothing drops on parked buggies, storefronts, or overhead utilities. His 14 years as an electrical lineman means he does not flinch at working near energized power lines, a skill that matters on just about every in town job.

The eastern portion of the township, out toward the Trumbull County line, gets into some of the more remote and heavily wooded parcels in all of Geauga County. Properties out on Bundysburg Road and Nash Road can feel like they are deep in the country, and some of the woodlots have not been actively managed in generations. When homeowners on these parcels need clearing for a building site or want hazard trees taken down around an existing home, the jobs can involve dozens of trees across multiple acres. We are set up for that scale of work, handling everything from felling and bucking to brush chipping and stump grinding in a single mobilization.

Getting to Middlefield from our Chardon base takes about 25 minutes east on Route 87. We run jobs in and around the village regularly and can usually schedule an estimate within a few days. If you have a tree situation in Middlefield, whether it is a single dead ash in the backyard or a full woodlot that needs thinning, call Wes at (440) 901-0995. He will come take a look, tell you what he thinks, and give you an honest price.

“Wes, and his guy's were nothing short of amazing! I honestly don't believe I've ever seen such a hard working crew. They focused on the difficult job at hand, and worked relentlessly until it was finished! Wes in particular was astonishing! This guy is fearless, precise, efficient, and fast. No exaggeration, Wes is as at home in the tree's as I am in my living room! They removed seven 80 to 100 foot tree's from our yard, and meticulously cleaned up in under two day's, without any mishaps. All seven tree's were in very precarious locations. Six of these towering mammoth's were dangerously close to the barn. Any one of which could have easily caused serious damage if not carefully, and meticulously dismantled. Wes, and his guy's masterfully executed this task quickly without any issues. The seventh tree was a massive oak within twenty feet of our garage. This oak was leaning ominously towards the garage. In addition, this massive oak had huge, heavy branches extending over the garage. My wife, and I seriously thought it was going to demolish our garage! To make an already difficult, and dangerous task even more daunting, the oak was on the top edge of a 50 degree drop-off hill 50 feet down to a valley. Wes needed to set up a zip-line from high up in the oak to run the huge branches down to the valley, and away from the garage. It really was something to watch! Wes is truly a Master of his profession! They were actuality very reasonable. I almost feel guilty with what we paid! (No joke!) We weren't sure we could even find someone to handle this project, but "All Tree's Considered" did it, and did it for a very reasonable price. I can't express my confidence in recommending these guy's enough! If you need tree trimming, or removal don't look any farther! These guy's are The Real Deal! Thanks Guy's!”
