The Estimate

Estimates are free and happen on site. Wes walks the property with you, looks at each tree, and talks through what he would do and why. You get a written quote with line items: what gets removed or trimmed, whether the stump is included, whether the wood gets hauled or left, and what cleanup means. The number on the quote is the number on the invoice.

Options on Bigger Jobs

Most larger quotes come with choices, because the same tree can be done several ways:

  • Haul everything or drop and leave the wood for firewood, which lowers the price
  • Full removal or leave the trunk standing for later
  • Do it in phases: the hazardous tree now, the rest next season, with a payment at each phase

Phased work and phased payments are normal for jobs in the thousands. Ask for it.

How to Pay

  • Check, cash, or Zelle
  • Credit or debit card, with a 3% processing fee added
  • Bank transfer or direct deposit for commercial accounts

Payment is due when the work is done. On multi-phase jobs, each phase is invoiced when that phase is complete.

Do I Need to Be Home?

For the estimate, yes if you can, so you and Wes are looking at the same trees. For the work itself, no, as long as the crew can reach the trees and any gates are open. Tell us about dogs, locked gates, sprinkler heads, septic lids, or anything else in the yard we should know about.

On the Day

The crew arrives when scheduled. Weather can move a tree job, since high wind and climbing do not mix, and you will hear from us if it does. Work happens in sections, lowered on ropes, so nothing lands where it shouldn't. Before leaving, the crew rakes, chips, and blows off the driveway. Then you walk it with Wes.

Insurance

All Trees Considered carries liability insurance and workers compensation. A certificate of insurance is available on request, and comes standard on commercial jobs. If a tree landed on a structure, see our insurance claims page for the documentation we provide.

“We're in Maple Heights, not his usual service area but he did come out and give us an estimate and found a time that worked great for us. No heavy equipment, just Wes and a helper, amazing to watch him work. Got hit with a big thunderstorm and he still finished the job. Guy really knows what he's doing, highly recommend!”

“Wes did a fantastic job on tree trimming. 2 man crew. Excellent job on clean-up. All branches and leaf debris are all cleaned up. Wes was responsive on the original quote and day of job. The office is also great. She always answered and followed up with direct text on questions. Also great price based on my other quotes. Highly recommend.”

FAQ

Payment Options & What to Expect Questions

Common questions homeowners ask about payment options & what to expect service.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes, with a 3% processing fee. Check, cash, and Zelle have no fee.

Do you offer financing?

Not through a lender. What we do offer is phasing: splitting a large job into stages with a payment at each stage. On most big jobs that solves the same problem.

Do I pay anything up front?

Not on a standard residential job. Payment is due when the work is finished and you have walked the property. Large multi-day or commercial jobs may be invoiced by phase.

How soon after the estimate can the work happen?

It depends on the season and the job. Storm work moves to the front of the line. Once you approve the quote, you get a date, and that date is held.

What if the job turns out to be bigger than quoted?

The quote is the price. If something genuinely new comes up on site, like a second tree you decide to add, it gets written up as its own line before any work on it starts.
